The aircraft is designed by the Ilyushin PJSC, the parent company of the transport aviation division of the United Aircraft Corporation. Manufacturer: Voronezh Aircraft Production Association (VASO), a branch of Ilyushin PJSC.

The aircraft is certified in compliance with the requirements of airworthiness standards (type certificate No. 22-96-300 AR IAC).

Ilyushin Il-96-400

The aircraft is designed by the Ilyushin PJSC, the parent company of the transport aviation division of the United Aircraft Corporation. The Il-96-400M wide-body long-haul aircraft is designed as a modification of the serially produced Il-96-300 with an addition to the type certificate. It will retain the high reliability of its predecessor.

Ilyushin IL-96-300

Ilyushin Il-96-300 is a wide-body long-haul aircraft designed to carry up to 300 passengers, luggage and cargo on long-haul airlines. The aircraft’s aerodynamic configuration and systems use design solutions that ensure a high level of safety and operational efficiency. An on-board flight navigation system automates aircraft navigation in difficult weather conditions over any areas of the world. The system also provides for automatic landing according to ICAO category IIIA and IIIB. All information about the operation of on-board systems, piloting and navigation systems is displayed on six multifunction color displays.

The aircraft is equipped with PS-90A engines that meet the requirements of the ground noise Annex 16 Chapter 4 of the ICAO.

There are two decks in the aircraft’s large diameter fuselage: the upper passenger deck and the lower cargo deck. The passenger cabin is equipped with a video entertainment system. It provides passengers with a high level of comfort on long-distance routes. Containers or pallets can be placed on the cargo deck equipped with a floor roller system.

Ilyushin IL-96-400

Ilyushin Il‑96-400M is developed basing on the Il‑96-300 serial aircraft in order to further improve this aircraft type, expand the geography of operation and transport capabilities by modernizing and substitution imported flight navigation and radio communication equipment, stretching the fuselage by 9.35 meters and installing more powerful PS-90A1 engines instead of PS‑90A. The aircraft’s aerodynamic configuration and systems use design solutions that ensure a high level of safety and operational efficiency. Modern flight navigation and radio communication equipment will allow meeting the current and future requirements of international aviation authorities for navigation, surveillance and communication systems.

Il-96-400M can carry up to 370 passengers. The passenger cabin is equipped with a modern infotainment system that provides access to the Internet, television and satellite communications, as well as luggage racks, and modern catering equipment.

IL-96-400M is manufactured in cooperation with leading Russian developers of systems and equipment. Most components are supplied by enterprises of the Rostec State Corporation.
