United Aircraft Corporation will take part in the Farnborough International Airshow 2016 to be held in Great Britain on 11 - 17 July. UAC products will be represented by aircraft on the static display as well as civil and transport aircraft models at the stand.
UAC’s main focus will be showcasing its civil projects: Sukhoi Superjet 100 and MC-21 aircraft. The Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft of the first European operator – Irish airline CityJet – will be showcased at the static display. The deal with CityJet is the first step of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in the European market. The contract envisages delivery of 15 SSJ100 aircraft until 2019.
The aircraft for CityJet is in the 98-seat configuration with exclusive interior designed by Pininfarina, five abreast seating in a generous 32” seat pitch.
Currently there are about 80 SSJ100 in service with customers. The aircraft in service operated more than 205 000 flight hours totally for more than 140 000 revenue flights.
The МС-21 is a short to medium-range airliner with a basic version for 180 passenger seats. The next 20-25 years will see the greatest demand for this particular passenger capacity, thus MC-21 will become the right offer to the market. In June this year the first MC-21 was rolled out at an official ceremony in Irkutsk (Russia) marking a significant milestone for the program. It is expected that the maiden flight will be performed in early 2017.
The airshow visitors will have an opportunity to see the MC-21 flight simulator as well as familiarize themselves with the program status, major partners and suppliers. The simulator will be presented near the UAC’s main stand in Hall 1.
UAC’s stand at the show will also present current and future propulsion systems SaM146 and PD-14 for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and MC-21 respectively.
