UAC’s subsidiaries are actively implementing digital technologies, aimed to solve the main task - increasing the current and future competitiveness of Russian aircraft on the global market, - said President of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Yury Slyusar during a session at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
UAC’s President believes that all aircraft construction programs within UAC should be based on new digital solutions. "For us, it is crucially important to reduce the time to enter the market, we need to design promptly, launch aircraft production faster, improve service processes, and the life cycle of the product should be longer," he said. "All this is possible only on the basis of the solutions that the new digital economy offers, and for us its development is an absolute priority," Yury Slyusar stressed.
Irkut Corporation develops and manufactures MC-21 aircraft on the basis of integrated application of new-generation digital technologies.
All participants of the program work within the unified informational environment.
The key component of this medium is the airliner's electronic mock-up which contains comprehensive information on the aircraft as the whole, its units, systems, and equipment at all stages of its life cycle. The electronic mock-up is constantly detalized and developed.
Participants of the program have real-time access to the electronic mock-up. Information exchange is performed via high-speed communication channels.
Digital technologies ensure more precise and effective implementation of a wide variety of design, manufacturing, and operational components of the MC-21 program. In manufacturing, they provide high product quality and precise conjunction of airframe assemblies.
During operation, data on every aircraft is entered into the specialized information system. Interaction of the electronic mock-up and the information system will allow monitoring condition of every aircraft and predicting its maintenance.
On 6 June United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC) and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) approved the general layout of CR929 long-range wide-body aircraft. The parties agreed as to the aircraft principal geometry – wing span and shape, fuselage length, fuselage nose and tail section dimensions, aircraft fins sizing and form, location of engines, landing gear and doors. The above is the result of efforts undertaken by JET-team, the joint Sino-Russian engineering team headed by CR929 chief designers Maxim Litvinov (representing the Russian side) and Chen Yingchun (representing the Chinese side).

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) will participate in the international Eurasia Airshow 2018 in Turkey. Eurasia Airshow, held for the first time, will take place in Antalya International Airport on April 25-29, 2018.
