Mikhail A. Pogosyan is First Vice-President on Programs Management since April 2007. He is also a member of UAC Executive Board. Mr. Pogosyan oversees such directions as research and development, technology development and aviation programs, including civil, military and transport.
Mr. Pogosyan is also General Director of JSC “Aviation Holding Company “Sukhoi”, a post he holds since 1998. Until 2007 Mr. Pogosyan was also General Director of JSC “Sukhoi Design Bureau”. In 2009 Mikhail Pogosyan was appointed to the position of General Director-General Designer of Russian Aircraft Corporation "MiG".
Born in 1959, M. Pogosyan started his career in SCOT “Sukhoi Design Bureau” in 1979, where he held a number of posts, starting as an Engineer and becoming First Deputy General Designer in 1998.
Mr. Pogosyan graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) as an engineer-mechanic, later he became a Doctor of Technical Science and a Correspondent Member of Russian Academy of Sciences.
M. Pogosyan was honored with RF Government Certificate of Merit award by the RF Ministry of Industry and Energy, RF Government Order of Honour and Medal “850 years of Moscow foundation”. He is also a Laureate of RF Government and State Prize.
Mr. Pogosyan is married and has two children. |
