Leasing of aircraft and industrial equipment.
Current projects:
The “Finance Leasing Company” is aimed for technical re-equipment and production modernization of UAC’s enterprises. The Company attracts western financing under the guarantees of export-credit agencies such as Hermes and Cofase. One of its latest projects is leasing of machine tools to Sukhoi Civil Aircraft’s enterprises within the framework of Sukhoi Superjet 100 program.
The Company also organizes leasing of Tu-214 aircraft.
History
JSC “Finance Leasing Company” was founded in January 1997 and registered by Moscow Registration Chamber on January 15, 1997. Originally, activities of the Company focused on the long-term leases market, primarily in the area of aviation.
In 2001 “Finance Leasing Company” won the RF Government tender for state support of leasing programs in civil aviation (second winner was “Ilyushin Finans Ko.”). Under the terms of the tender leasing companies were to provide Federal Government with a possibility to obtain a controll block of shares. Therefore, in February 2002 a third emission of Finance Leasing Company’s shares for 1,575 billion rubles has been issued. In September 2002, the RF Government signed a resolution to purchase 58% of the company's shares.
The Company was the in Russia to realize the classical leasing of Russian-made aircraft. The Company’s first project was the transaction with Khabarovsk airline carrier “Dalavia” (the carrier leased two passenger aircraft Tu-214). Until now the basic activity of “Finance Leasing Company” in aviation was connected with Tu-214 aircraft production. Currently “Finance Leasing Company” is implementing the state program on building and leasing Tu-214 produced by Kazan Aviation Plant (“KAPO n/a Gorbunov”).
